How bright is it really?
Three times the output of a standard head torch, and the useful part is the 230° spread: an ordinary one throws a narrow spot, so you see one thing instead of everything in front of you.
Does the wave sensor go off by accident?
It needs a hand passing close to the front of it, so brushing past something will not set it off. If you would rather not use it at all, the button works on its own and the sensor can be left alone.
Will it fit a child or a smaller head?
Yes. The band adjusts the whole way down and the torch itself is 100 grams, so it is not top heavy on a smaller head. Plenty go on children for the walk home from training in winter.
Is it waterproof?
It is water resistant, which covers rain, drizzle and a damp loft. It is not made to be submerged, so do not take it swimming or leave it sitting in a puddle.
What is in the box?
The head torch, a USB-C charging cable and a hard shell carry case, included free on every order. The case is what keeps it from getting crushed in the bottom of a tool bag.
How long does charging take?
Around 2 to 3 hours from flat, over USB-C. The same cable as a modern phone or a cordless tool, so there is nothing extra to keep track of.
Will the band rub or give me a headache?
At 100 grams there is not enough weight to pull on your neck, which is what causes it with the bulky ones. The band is soft and flat rather than a hard strap.
What is the free carry case?
Every order ships with the hard shell case included, no code to enter and nothing to add to the basket. It is simply in the box.
How do I look after it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth. Charge it before it is fully flat rather than leaving it empty for months, and it will hold its run time far longer.
How long will delivery take?
Free tracked delivery on every order, no minimum. We pack within 2 working days, then allow 5 to 10 working days in Ireland and 6 to 12 to the UK, so most orders land 9 to 17 days after you order. You get a tracking link by email the moment it leaves us.
